Submit an abstract for consideration as an oral or poster presentation. Abstracts must be submitted to the Scientific Committee of AEMP2008 at (aemp2008@int-tissuecultureconf.org) as an attached file in Word following the guidelines below (see abstract example). Please indicate 'Abstract Submission' in the Subject line of your e-mail. The abstracts should be received until October 30, 2008. The person presenting the communication should be registered in the Symposium until October 30, 2008.

1. Each participant can present a maximum of two communications as senior author, but only one will be considered for oral. There is not limit of abstract submissions as co-author.

2. Page Margin

top: 2.5 cm (1");
bottom: 3.5 cm (1.38");
left: 2.5 cm (1");
right: 2.5 cm (1").

3. Abstracts must be written in English and should be limited to a maximum of 300 words in a single paragraph. Use Times New Roman, size 12 and single line space. Capitalize and bold the title. Title, authors, affiliations and body of abstract should be left aligned. Leave one blank line below the title, below authors, and below affiliation.

4. Include full name of authors, indicating presenting author with an (*), Institution, postal and e-mail addresses.

5. The abstract must include a concise state of the problem, objective/s, methodology, results and conclusions.

6. Select your preference for oral or poster presentation. The author will be informed of acceptance via e-mail before the early registration deadline (October, 30).

Guidelines for Submission of Manuscripts
Authors will be asked to submit full manuscripts for peer-review by the Scientific Committee at the conference. Manuscripts will be published post-conference by the ISHS in Acta Horticulturae. For publication guidelines in Acta Horticulturae, please follow instructions in: http://www.ishs.org/acta/. Each participant paying the registration fee (except guests and students) will receive a copy of the proceedings.

Guidelines for Oral Presentations
Presentations will be accepted only through electronic files in PowerPoint95 or later versions of the software. We suggest setting up the screen for 35 mm slides.

Guidelines for Posters
There is no limit to the number of posters that an author can present. Posters will have a maximum size of 120 x 90 cm portrait. It is recommended to use one complete sheet, rather than multiple sheets for its creation in situ. At the top of your poster, include the title, author(s) name and affiliations (organization, city and country). We suggest the poster to have title letter at least 2.5 cm high. Lettering for the author’s name and affiliations may be smaller. Including a photograph of the presenting author helps participants to identify the person to talk during the meetings. The smallest lettering on the poster should be no less than 10 mm high. Illustrations should be visible from a 1m viewing distance. We suggest authors bringing at least 20 small copies of your poster to give to interested participants. We will add specific instructions for poster setting later.
